How?

Extransit Mobile Interaction Suite uses a unique mobile client/serverbased technology to provide multi-user applications that runs on a server and are used from mobile devices.

A tiny client (catch Client) is installed on the mobile phone. When started it connects to the server (Strike Server) and shows the user a list of available applications or & "services". When a service is selected, an on-line session is opened to that specific application on the server, which provides the client with the UI component layouts etc.

As long as the session is open, any events on the server side are immediately reflected to the mobile client. If anything from a new news headline on a news page or a new card on a poker table arrives, it shows up on the client without the user doing any refresh or reload.

Editing of the applications are also performed using a remote application technology. The editor (Pitch Studio) is installed on any computer and connects to the Strike Server just as the catch Client. The services are edited remotely and nothing resides on the local computer where the editor is installed.

Changes are immediately reflected to all mobile clients, they can even be used as on-line real-time previewers when editing. The visual editor covers everything in the mobile applications, such as user interface design, structure, resources and integration with external applications or web services.

The Extransit Mobile Interaction Suite

A unique fully integrated mobile suite Extransit Mobile interaction Suite gives an alternative that is the quickest way of taking a concept idea all the way into a mobile service. It is a unique, fully integrated mobile platform, comprising an advanced application server, a mobile thin client and a development tool for user interface and application design

Graphical user interface design tool
Extransit Mobile interaction Suite provide you with a graphical build and design tool, where you choose from a palette of components, such as buttons, text fields, check-boxes and combo-boxes etc, and "draw" the user interface exactly as you want it. The platform lets you preview the services you are authoring on-line on the target device, even in "real-time" - as you are editing

Graphic structure editing and automatic navigation
You do not have to maintain links between different "pages" or parts of the service, the overall structure of the service is edited as a "tree" in the design tool, and you can even test browse the service on-line from the mobile device as you build them. The coupling between user interface, data and applications is in full control from the graphical authoring tool. All navigation is generated automatically, in a way that is optimized to be as quick and easy as possible for the user.

Access to advanced phone functions and real-time "push"
Extransit Mobile interaction Suite provides access to phone facilities, such as sound synthesizer, camera, phone dialler and GPS, and enables real-time, on-line sessions with dynamic data and user interface events transmitted instantly to the client, so called push. Any changes to user interface or data on the server is seen on the client instantly, which makes it ideal for on-line services like news, chat and games.

Server with session management and application integration
The server has built in state and session handling, and contains a "session data
storage", which unloads the designer from making complicated state mechanisms, and often voids involving databases for simpler services. Built-in simple-in-use application wizards make it easy to access web pages and web services and apply a "mobile front-end" to them.

One client for all services
The thin client uses an install-once, use-for-all concept, you can change the service in any way without having to re-install a large number of client applications. The platform even supports on-line changes while the user is logged in. The client is since long tested and stable with all major phone brands, and gives a high level of reliability and security.

Data efficient communication optimized for mobile networks
Extransit Mobile interaction Suite uses a specifically designed communication protocol between the mobile client and the server. It is optimized for the limited data capacity of the mobile networks, and is designed for bi-directional real-time events. It has several features such as automatic re-connection if the communication is temporarily lost and transfers all image and sound resources without the mobile phone having to establish separate HTTP connections.

The quick, inexpensive and flexible starting point
Even if your long-term goal is to develop an in-house specific client application, Extransit Mobile interaction Suite can act as an excellent playing ground for testing the business concept in an early phase, without having to allocate expensive software development resources, or involving external consultants. An early version of the service can be up and running in a matter of days instead of months, and changes to the concept could be performed in a matter of minutes.

- Extransit Mobile interaction Suite gives a very short time from idea to deployed service, and provides flexibility and features that gives the service a unique look-and-feel, without writing specific client software.
