Extransit Mobile Interaction Suite has been designed to be as quick and easy as possible to get up and running with, still maintaining the scalablity needed for large scale production. The only things you need to get started are a computer with browser, and a Java enabled phone.

Server requirements

The simple answer to this is; you don’t need any server, as our Mobile Interaction Express service includes hosting in our own server pool. However, if you prefer you can also download and install your own Strike Server. For that you need a computer with a fixed Internet connection (so that the development studio and clients can connect to it). The server requires Java 1.5 to be installed, and typically 2 GB or RAM memory.

Develeopment studio requirements

The Pitch Studio can be installed or started form the web, by using Webstart. You need Java 1.5 to be installed on the computer, and typically 0.5GB or RAM.

Client requirements

The Catch Client has been thoroughly tested for more than half a decade, on a wide variety of phones from most suppiers. Almost any modern mobile phone of today has support for Java and MIDP 2.0, both smart phones with real operating systems such as Symbian (Nokia Series 60 and UIQ), Windows Mobile etc. and non OS based phones.

The technical requirements are; Java MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1, 500kb heap (service dependent) ram, GPRS, 3G (UMTS), Wifi etc. Some features require Camera, GPS or 3D on the mobile device. For multi- session support unlimited heap size is recommended.
